Hey Sit-N-Go Pro’s,

It’s the end of January and the beginning of a new month…And Sit-N-Go Pro Members know exactly what that means!

Congratulations to Andreas V. (California, USA) for winning a brand new Sony® Playstation 3 and becoming the 3rd official winner of the Monthly Rewards Program. Andreas was randomly selected last night and was contacted via email – We’re still waiting for his response.

Sunday Night Poker with a Sit and Go Pro

11 12 2006
Last night, I decided to challenge my Sit-N-Go Pro online poker students by entering our weekly Sunday exclusive $250.00 guaranteed freeroll tournament on Titan Poker. (Check www.sitngopro.com for details)

I couldn’t believe it! This tournament was jam-packed with over 80 top-notch Sit-N-Go Pro Sharks…including me of course =)

I was totally surprised by the number of entrants, but who can resist playing for a freeroll pot of $250 in cash money??

Anyways, it was over 3 hours of intense poker action and I stuck to my “gameplan” throughout the whole tournament…I had a slow start at first, but things started to pick up as the blinds raised.

To make things short, I made the final table…and ended up going heads up with “Zats” – The screenshot below says it all. Kudos to all the final table survivors, all of you did GREAT! And I’ve noticed a lot of players following my system, and that definitely made a very tough final table.

Maybe I’ll play next week…You’ll never know when I’m gonna pop up, so WATCH OUT! =)

Playstation 3 Winner Announced for November

1 12 2006

Congratulations to Steve M. (New York) for winning a PS3. Steve was contacted with success last night as he was randomly selected as the lucky winner of the Sit-n-Go Pro Monthly Rewards Program. The rewards program was created to give a little something extra to all of the SIT-N-GO PRO Members. There are 4 PS3’s left and the next winner will be notified by email on December 31, 2006. Current members and new members will be in the running for the next 4 months.

On a side note: Steve said he has been noticing some great results playing SNG’s since becoming a Sit-n-Go Pro member.

Why Sit N Go’s?

27 11 2006

- There are fewer players in SNG tournaments

A Single Table Tournament or STT is usually 9 or 10 players. In a game like this, the top 3 finishers would place “in the money”. However, Sit N Go’s can have as many as 50 players (which would be 5 tables of 10) or as few as 2 (heads up). A Sit N Go with more than 10 players is played on more than one table and is known as a Multi-Table Tournaments or MTT.

Generally, the more players in the SNG, the more places are paid and the higher the prize money. Of course, with more players the tournaments are longer and there are more players to beat out.

- SNG Tournaments are short

No limit Texas Hold’em Sit N Go’s are generally faster than limit Sit N Go’s because of the ability to move “all-in” gets things moving. You clearly have more time to play multiple SNG’s at a time. I sometimes play 4 games at once.

- I make my living off of SNG tournaments

I definately enjoy playing SNG’s as I have perfected a clear cut system i use to take down SNG tournaments. There is a clear cut way when it comes to taking down SNG tournies. Check out my Website for more info on My Proven System for killing SNG’s. Remember I make my living off of playing Online Sit and Go poker tournaments. You can too!

Welcome to the Blog!

25 11 2006

Hello everyone, and thanks for reading the first post in my new blog! For those that don’t recognize me, my name is Johnny Rothman and I am a professional online poker pro. As the days go by, I’ll be making more and more posts in my blog, keeping you up to date on the latest happenings in my life, as well as anything else that comes to mind.

Most of you have seen me taking down online Sit and Go poker tournaments. This is how I make my living. These are my preferred methods over the so called schedule tournaments.

The “sit-and-go” tournament is the more informal type of event. Usually these events have just one or two tables. The poker lobby shows a list of sit-and-go events that are open for sign-ups. As soon as enough players sign up for a sit-and-go event, it starts. These events are a great way to get a lot of “final table” tournament experience: in a single-table sit-and-go, you start out at the final table!

That’s all for now, but stay tuned, there is definitely more to come!
